WHAT BEGAN AS A SMALL HOPS FARM HAS EVOLVED INTO A WORLD-CLASS BREWERY

Our beer is brewed on our farm using ingredients sourced from farms in New York. These small farms share the same commitment to sustainability and responsible agriculture as we do.

From our Farmhouse Ales to our IPAs, every Arrowood Farm Brewery beer is made with 100% New York State ingredients. And we’re very proud of that.

We are innovators who respect tradition.

We don’t intervene with preservatives. We let the ingredients express themselves naturally. We work with wild yeast derived from the same air we breathe. Our house culture is a collaboration with the bees that pollinate our farm.

These philosophies are typically associated with the more esoteric, farmhouse-style beers. And we definitely produce many of those! But we are also excited to apply that same obsession with ingredients, nature and tradition to produce exceptional IPAs, Lagers and Pilsners that appeal to almost everyone.

Farmhouse Philosophy

“House Culture” makes the distinct flavor of a beer. How did we derive ours? First, we placed fresh wort by the apiary and captured crumbs of pollen that slough off the bees. Then we took that pollen to our neighbors at the SUNY New Paltz genetics lab to isolate specific yeast strains from that pollen-laden wort. Voila! Our house culture was born.

Fun Fact: The team at Arrowood Farms started a band called House Culture. If you’re lucky, you might catch them performing here.
