It’s a win-win for all of us. Many of the farms we work with have traditionally grown grains for feed. We are helping them evolve toward heirlooms that have more flavor and worth.
And in return we can craft the best beers and spirits possible.
Arrowood is a Living, Breathing Farm
We grow our own hops, grains, rare and heirloom produce, and other native ingredients that bring purity and distinction to our beverages. The bees in our apiary do the most important work here. They pollinate our gardens and, in the process, supply the one-of-a-kind house culture that defines our beer and spirits. Our beloved Farmhouse Table Beer is an ode to this process.
Arrowood is also proud to host and partner with Transgenerational Farm on our grounds. Jayne Henson and her team are committed to using regenerative
and organic farming practices to increase access
to healthy local food for LGBTQ folks and all folks. Transgenerational grows a brilliant array of produce here for a CSA and helps care for our land.
Closing the Loop
Sourcing locally means our ingredients are fresher because they don’t travel very far.
Part of reducing our carbon footprint is managing our waste. We raise chickens which help us with composting and turning our refuse back into soil. We also collaborate with neighboring farmers to re-purpose our spent grains as feed for livestock.
