heART with Kimberly- Oil Paintings

August 13, 2020 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Now is the perfect time to make some art and meet new people on the beautiful grounds of Arrowood!  On Thursdays from 5:30-7pm grab a complimentary beer and make an original landscape painting.

This class will focus on using oil paints to capture the magic of Arrowood Farms. We will set up easels near the delightful field of hops, the kiwi orchard and vegetable garden, and the newly renovated duck pond.  Working from observation, we will capture sunset at magic hour, make intimate portraits of zucchini on the vine, and take in the vibrant surroundings.  In addition to honoring your own creativity, we will learn about materials, color mixing and developing a good palette.  First time, novice painters are encouraged to attend, as well as experienced artists. This class offers  instruction, but is also easily adaptable for those who prefer more independent work.

Supplies and materials will be provided. This includes easels, drawing boards and paper, paint brushes, oil paints and wax medium. (If you’d prefer to sit at an easel, be sure to bring along a portable stool).  If you’d like to bring supplies of your own, you are welcome to do so.

We will be outside, physically distancing and wearing masks at all times.

$50 per class. Drop Ins are welcome.
